Michele over at Quilting Gallery is hosting a fun quilt-along with her brand new quilt pattern, Aiming for Accuracy. It's a great pattern and this should be fun. I am notorious for starting quilts, but you'll find very few completed quilts around our house. I'm planning to join the quilt-along. I've never done one before. Hopefully this way I can actually start AND finish a quilt!
The quilt-along begins with introductory information on June 16th and finishes with adding borders to your quilt-top on October 10th. This is a pace that I think I can manage. The entire schedule is posted here. :) The fabric requirements have been posted, so you can start hunting for fabrics now. For mine, I will be using scraps and random fabrics that I have around the house, along with a contrasting fabric for the parts shown in black above. I'm thinking dark brown for mine - or maybe cream?
Prizes, prizes! There are lots of great prizes to be given away during the quilt-along. I know that Michele is still adding more sponsors and prizes, so check back to see what else turns up on her prize page. There will be weekly prizes and grand prizes for those that complete the top by the end of October. Several of the prizes are free long-arm quilting service - Oh how I'd LOVE to win one of those! I am a sponsor and have donated a copy of each of my patterns as prizes as well. :)
